Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Onyx Core Enterprises, which operates Meridian Math (“Meridian”, “we”, “us”). By using meridian-math.org, the Meridian reader or joining the waitlist, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Who can use Meridian
You must be 18 or older to join the waitlist or, once they’re available, to buy a course or create an account. Children and students may use Meridian with a parent’s, guardian’s or school’s permission and supervision, and the adult is responsible for their use.
What we offer today
Before launch, Meridian offers a free sample of our reader, an AI tutor demo and a founding-families waitlist. These are provided free, as they are, and may change or stop while we build the full courses.
The founding-families waitlist
- Joining is free and doesn’t commit you to buy anything.
- We’ll announce founding pricing and what it includes before we ask for any payment. That announcement, together with these terms, will explain how long the founding price applies.
- Early access may come in stages and may include features still being finished. Your feedback helps shape the courses.
- We may change launch timing or the order courses release in. We’ll keep the list informed.
Buying courses
Course purchases aren’t open yet. When they are, prices, what’s included and billing terms will be shown before you pay, and our refund policy will apply. Purchases made with Education Savings Account (ESA) funds also follow that program’s rules.
Accounts
When accounts launch, keep your login details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. A family membership is for the members of your household; please don’t share access outside it.
Using Meridian fairly
Please don’t:
- copy, sell, redistribute or publicly post Meridian content, or share course access links or keys;
- scrape the site, or try to get around access controls, rate limits or security;
- use the AI tutor to generate content unrelated to learning, or to send personal, harmful or unlawful material;
- interfere with the site or other people’s use of it.
We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules.
Our content
Meridian’s textbooks, lessons, examples, exercises, videos, covers and software are owned by Clayton Ragsdale and Onyx Core Enterprises and protected by copyright. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use them for your own learning and teaching at home (or, for schools, as your agreement with us allows). You may print pages for your own household’s use.
The AI tutor
The AI tutor is a learning aid. It’s designed to give hints rather than answers, and it can make mistakes. Check its work against the lesson and worked examples, and don’t rely on it for anything other than learning math.
Schools and universities
If your institution uses Meridian under a separate agreement with us, that agreement controls where it differs from these terms.
Disclaimers
We work hard to make Meridian accurate, clear and available, but the site and its content are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose, and we don’t guarantee particular grades or outcomes.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about Meridian is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you haven’t paid us anything. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending use
You can stop using Meridian and leave the waitlist at any time. We may stop providing parts of Meridian or end access for misuse. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership of content and limits of liability) still apply afterwards.
Changes to these terms
We’ll post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we’ll give notice by email or on the site before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where the law where you live gives you protections that can’t be waived.
